ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS OF ONE (l) UNIT Or
TEE -1968 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS DESIGNATED IN ORDINANCE
NC,
2458; DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH R. 0, GREEN CON
STRUCTION COMPANY, TIMMINS AND ANDERSON, WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY
COMPLETED AND PERFORMED ; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE, EXE-
CUTION AND DELIVER OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPE-
CIAL ASSESSM NTS .LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY
CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF
SAID ASSESSMENTS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ENGROSS
AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF
SANE IN TEE MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
TEE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, T'EXAS, AND BY FILING TILE
COMPLETE ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS
OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
J WHEREAS, the City of Wichita. Falls , Texas has heretofore entered
into a contract with R.O. Green Construction Company, Timmins and Anderson,
Wichita Falls, Texas, for the making and constructing of certain street im-
provementa on the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and-
public places in the City, to-wit:
CEDAR AVENUE. From the north property line of Birch
Street to the north property line of
Carol Ann Street
WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Bos d of
' Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, including Ordinance No.2472,
a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed against
the respective properties abutting on each of the above assessed portions of
streets, avenues and public places and against the real and true owners thereof;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
has upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to
effect substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to
grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments
levied by Ordinance No, 2472 and,
CHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places
hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete
accordance with the contract therefor;
NOW, THEREFOR,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE BOARD OF ALDERMEN 'OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I,
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and
public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and
the contract with reference thereto be, and is hereby, found and declared •
fully completed and performed.

II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinance No. 2472 shall be computed
for each property ov12r and the same together with the Engineer's Roll of
(l) street of the seventy-three locations herein accepted shall be delivered
to the Tax-Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements which shall be
sent to the property owners.

III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this
Ordinance by copying the .caption of same in the Minute Book of the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and by filing the complete
ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City.
Iv.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
