RESOLUTION DESIGNATING COMMUNITY COUNCIL AS A
REVIEW BOARD FOR EXPENDITURES OF FUNDS REGARDING
HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES.
WHEREAS, the Community Council is a body of persons
representing all of the service providers and a cross-section
of the consumers within the community; and,
WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the Community Council is
to insure that the community has a planned, coordinated and
effective program of health, welfare and recreational services
dealing with the problems and needs of its people; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Council has prepared profiles on
all area human service programs, which will be expanded and
kept current; and,
WHEREAS, the Community Council has offered to make their
specialized knowledge available to the Board of Aldermen
when it is called upon to make decisions about funding by
service deliverers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Community Council is hereby designated as a review
board concerning expenditures of funds regarding human ser-
vice agencies; all such matters shall be reviewed by the
Community Council and returned with comments and/or recommen-
dations to the Board of Aldermen.
