AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A TRIANGULAR PORTION OF
THIRTY-EIGHTH STREET EAST OF ARMORY ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close a portion of
Thirty-eighth Street hereinafter described,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I. That portion of Thirty-eighth Street, which is included
in the dedication plat of Thirty-eighth Street as recorded in Volume 12,
page 22, of the Wichita County Plats Records, and which is described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Armory Road and
Thirty-eighth Street; thence north 01 degrees, 04 minutes, 25
seconds west 29.0 feet; thence south 82 degrees, 08 minutes,
03 seconds east, 11.0 feet south of and parallel to the south
side of the existing walk 241.51 feet; thence north 89 degrees,
01 minutes, 35 seconds west 240.8 feet to the place of beginning,
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION II. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves easements
in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character
of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone and power lines,
and sanitary and storm sewers and drainage ditches.
