Ord 2652 5/4/1971 ORDINANCE NO. � 6 1;1' AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF MIDWESTERN PARKWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY (FORMERLY ARCHER STREET) WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,deems it adviseable and in the public interest to close a portion of Midwestern Parkway (formerly Archer Street) hereinafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. That portion of Midwestern Parkway which is described as follows: A tract of land out of the J. A. Scott Survey No. 8, A-294, Wichita County, Texas, and being more specifically described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the old Archer Street right-of-way, said point being the intersection of the existing South right-of-way line of Midwestern Parkway and the proposed East right-of-way line of Cedar Elm Lane, said point also bears S26° 46'E 1265.11 ft. from the Northwest corner of J. A. Scott Survey No. 8, said Archer Street was dedicated for public use by a plat entitled "Extended Section of the 8th Supplemental Dedication Plat to Country Club Estates, First Sec." and filed in Vol. 9, Page 57, in the Plat Records of Wichita County, Texas; THENCE S 81° 37'E 70.0 ft. along the South right-of-way of Midwestern Parkway to a point of curvature; THENCE in an easterly direction 105.38 ft. along a 7.402 degree curve having a radius of 774.0 ft. ; THENCE S28° 44'W 80.18 ft. to a point for corner; THENCE N61° 16'W 143.88 to a point of curvature; THENCE in a westerly direction 13.03 ft. along a 9.999 degree curve to the left having a radius of 573.0 ft. to a point in the proposed East right-of-way line of Cedar Elm Lane for corner; THENCE N08° 23' E 13.58 ft. along said proposed East right-of-way line of Cedar Elm Lane to the place of beginning and containing 0.16 acres more or less. be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
