Ord 2653 5/4/1971 ORDINANCE NO. ,72-3
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SWIMMING IN PONDS , LAKES
AND STREAMS IN CITY PARKS , AND AMENDING SECTION
22-31 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES WHICH PROHIBITED
SWIMMING IN LAKE WICHITA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 22-31 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows :
"Section 22-31. Swimming prohibited in canal from
Lake Wichita.
It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to wade,
bathe, or swim in the canal from Lake Wichita to the filter plant
belonging to the City."
SECTION 2. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any
person to swim or bathe in any ponds, streams or lakes situated
in any City parks within the City of Wichita Falls, except Lake
Wichita and Lake Arrowhead.
SECTION 3. The provisions of Section 2 of this Ordinance
shall be included and incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Wichita Falls, as an addition thereto, and shall be appro-
priately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering system of
the Code.
