AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR THE ORDERING
AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF AVENUES,
STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, DESIGNATED AS 1972 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM, APPROV-
ING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS PREPARED BY CITY ENGINEER,
AND DIRECTING THE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS, AND PROVIDING SUNDRY
OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
is of the opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets
and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved;
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
I.
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following
portions of avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas be improved , to-wit:
AVENUE C: From the east property line of
Monroe Street to the west property
line of Tyler Street.
AVENUE E: From the east property line of
Buchanan Street to the west property
line of Kemp Boulevard.
AVENUE E: From the east property line of
Fillmore Street to the west property
line of Taylor Street.
AVENUE E: From the east property line of
Kemp Boulevard to the west property
line of Fillmore Street.
AVENUE E: From the east property line of

II.
The City Engineer has heretofore prepared plans and specifications
for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions of avenues, streets
and public places, and such plans and specifications are submitted to the Board
of Aldermen for approval and adoption; such plans and specifications be and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications for the
improvement of the said streets.
III.
The City Manager is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids
for the making and constructing of said improvements.
IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect immedi-
ately from and after its passage.
