AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH (a) SECTION 29-148 OF THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING
PARKING METER ZONES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (a) of Section 29-148 of the Traffic Ordinance of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended so that
such section shall read as follows:
"(a) Parking meter zones are hereby established within the
district or upon those streets or parts of streets described
herein in which the parking of vehicles upon streets shall
be regulated by parking meters between the hours specified
of any day except Sundays and public holidays as follows:

SECTION 2. The fact that many people live within the City of Wichita
Falls and that there is an urgent need for protection of its citizens and
their property upon the City's roads and streets, this ordinance is declared
an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public need for the orderly flow
of traffic upon its roads and streets and a public need for the preser-
vation of the peace, health, and safety of property of the City. This
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
