A RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT FUNDS UNDER TITLE I OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1977
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
An application for Community Development Block Grant funds under
Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1977 is hereby
approved, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to complete and
file the application for such grant with the Department of Housing and Urban
Development. The City Manager is further authorized to execute any necessary
documents requested to carry out and complete such grant. The application shall
include a statement of needs, long range objectives, short range objectives, a
first year budget, and the Housing Assistance Plan. Further, such application
shall contain certifications providing the assurances which are required by the
Act and by the Regulations issued thereunder by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development.
