AN ORDINANCE CANCELLING THE FIRST REGULAR MEETINGS
OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN IN THE MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY
AND AUGUST, 1972.
WHEREAS, Section 2-1 of the Code of Ordinances provides
(with one exception) that the regular meeting times of the Board of
Aldermen shall be the first Tuesday and third Tuesday of each month,
at 10:00 o' clock A.M. in the Council Chamber in the Municipal Audi-
torium; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen desire to cancel the first
regular meetings in the months of June, July and August, 1972 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 2-1 of the Code
of Ordinances, the regular meeting times of the Board of Aldermen
during the months of June, July and August, 1972, shall be the third
Tuesdays of such months, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. in the Council Chamber
in the Municipal Auditorium. Except as changed herein, the provi-
sions of Section 2-1 of the Code of Ordinances shall remain in full
force and effect.
The fact that the first regular meeting in June, 1972 is
scheduled in less than thirty days creates an emergency, and this
ordinance is declared an emergency measure and shall become effective
upon its passage.
