ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON CORONADO STREET,
GARDEN STREET AND HAMPSTEAD LANE, IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS DESIGNATED IN ORDINANCE NO.
2691 DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH FRANK MCGRATH, WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS
FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE,
EXECUTION, AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUN-
DRY CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME
OF SAID ASSESSMENTS ; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO EN-
GROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION
OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF '
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND BY FILING THE
COMPLETE ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS OF
SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has heretofore entered
into a contract with Frank Mcgrath, Wichita Falls, Texas, for the making and
constructing of certain street improvements on the hereinafter described por-
tions of streets, avenues, and public places in said City, to-wit:
CORONADO STREET: Adjacent to Lots 2 and 3,
Block 118, and lots, 8, 9,
10 and 11, Block 117, West-
moreland Park Acreage Addn.
GARDEN STREET: Adjacent to Lots 1 and 14,
Block F, and Lot 9, Block G,
Granger and Ballow Addition.
HAMPSTEAD LANE: Adjacent to Lot 11-A, Block 42-A
and Lot 11-A, Block 41-A,
Sheppard Estates Addition.
WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Board
of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, including Ordinance No. 2707
a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed against the
respective properties abutting on each of the above assessed portions of streets,
avenues and public places and against the real and true owners thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
has upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to effect
substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to grant and
issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments levied by Ordi-
nance No. 2707, and ,
WHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues, and public places here-
inabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete accordance
with the contract therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT;
I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues, and
public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and the
contract with reference thereto be, and is hereby, found and declared fully
completed and performed.

II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinance No. 2707 shall be computed
for each property owner and the same together with the Engineer's roll on
Coronado Street,Garden Street and Hampstead Lane herein accepted shall be de-
livered to the Tax Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements which
shall be sent to the property owners.
III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this Ordinance
by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the Board of Aldermen of
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and filing the complete ordinance in the
appropriate Ordinance Records (-f said City.
IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage.
