ORDINANCE NO. , 7
ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS OF SEVENTEEN
(17) UNITS OF THE 1972 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM •
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS DESIG-
NATED IN ORDINANCE NO. 2690; DECLARING THE CON-
TRACT WITH SABRE ASPHALT COMPANY,, WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS
FULLY COMPLETED AND PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSU-
ANCE, EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN
EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIV-
ING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED
AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF SAID ASSESSMENTS; DIR-
ECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS
ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF SAME IN THE
MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND BY FILING THE COM-
PLETE ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE RECORDS
OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has heretofore
entered into contract with Sabre Asphalt Company, Wichita Falls, Texas
for the making and constructing of certain street improvements on the
hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and public places in
the City to-wit:
• AVENUE C: From the east property line of
Monroe Street to the west property
line of Tyler Street.
AVENUE E: From the east property line of
Buchanan Street to the west property
line of Kemp Boulevard.
' AVENUE E: From the east property line of
Fillmore Street to the west property
line of Taylor Street.
AVENUE E; From the east property line of
Kemp Boulevard to the west property
line of Fillmore Street.
AVENUE E; From the east property line of
Polk Street to the west property
line of Monroe Street.
AVENUE E: From the east property line of
Taylor Street to the west property
line of Polk Street.
AVENUE F; From the east property line of
Buchanan Street to the west property
line of Kemp Boulevard.
AVENUE F: From the east property line of
Fillmore Street to the west property
line of Taylor Street.
AVENUE F: From the east property line of
Taylor Street to the west property
line of Polk Street.

of Fillmore Street.
WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Board
of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, 'including Ordinance No.
2708, a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed
against the respective properties abutting on each of the above assessed
portions of streets, avenues and public places and against the real and
true owners thereof; and ,
WHEREAS,the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,Texas,
has upon review, found and determined that, in some instances in order to
effect substantial justice and equality, it is desireable and necessary to
grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments
levied by Ordinance No. 2708, and,
WHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places
hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in compete
accordance with the contract therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and
public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and
the contract with reference thereto be, and is hereby, found and declared
fully completed and performed.

II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinance No. 2708 shall be computed
for each property owner and the same together with the Engineer's Rolls of
seventeen (17) streets of the forty-three locations herein accepted shall be
delivered to the Tax-Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements
which shall be sent to the property owners.

III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this Ordi-
nance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the Board of Alder-
men of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and by filing the completed ordinance
in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City.
IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
