ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS OF A PORTION OF
MIDWESTERN PARKWAY (ARCHER-HAMILTON-HAMPSTEAD)ADJA-
CENT TO LOT 14 OF ED MANNING ADDITION TO WOODLAND
PARK ADDITION AND BLOCK 18 WOODLAND PARK ADDITION
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS AS DESIGNATED
IN ORDINANCE NO. 2692 DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH
THE TEXAS STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPLETED AND
PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE, EXECUTION AND DE-
LIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL ASSESS-
MENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY CREDITS
HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME OF,SAID
ASSESSMENTS ; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ENGROSS
AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE CAPTION OF
SANE IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN'
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND BY FILING
THE COMPLETE: ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE
RECORDS OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has heretofore entered
into contract with The Texas State Highway Department for the making and
constructing of certain street improvements on the hereinafter described por-
tions of streets, avenues and public places in the City, to-wit:
A portion of Midwestern Parkway adjacent
to Lot 14, Ed Manning Addition to the Wood-
land Park Addition and Block 18, Woodland
Park Addition.
WHEREAS, by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, including Ordinance No. 2709
a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed against
the respective properties abutting on each of the above assessed portions
of streets, avenues and public places and against the real and true owners
thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
has upon review, found and determined that, in some instances, in order to
effect substantial justice and equality, it is desirable and necessary to
grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments
levied by Ordinance No. 2709; and,
WHEREAS, the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets, avenues and public places
hereinabove described, and have been inspected and found to be in complete
accordance with the contract therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets, avenues and
public places hereinabove described be, and they are hereby, accepted; and
the contract with reference thereto be, and is hereby, found and declared
fully completed and performed.

II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinance 2709 shall be computed for
each property owner and the same together with the Engineer's Roll of Mid-
western Parkway (Archer-Hamilton-Hampstead)Project herein accepted shall be
delivered to the Tax Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements which
shall be sent to the property owners.
III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this
Ordinance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book of the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and by filing the complete
Ordinance in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City.
IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
