AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF AVENUE Z
BETWEEN THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF KEMP BOULEVARD AND THE
WEST LINE OF THE WILLOW BROOK ADDITION .
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close that portion of Avenue Z
herein described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That portion of Avenue Z lying between the east right-
of-way line of Kemp Boulevard and the west property line of the Willow Brook
Addition, be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves a 10 foot
easement centered on the existing sewer line which crosses the street and
which traverses Blocks K and L of the Kemp Fair Park Addition, said easement
to begin at the center line and end at the north right-of-way line of the said
Avenue Z.
SECTION 3. The fact that preliminary site plans have been made for
development of the property south of Avenue Z, and the project is being delayed
pending the closure of said Avenue Z, creates an urgent public necessity
requiring that this ordinance be passed as an emergency measure, and this
ordinance is passed as an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect
immediately from and after its passage.
