AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING ALL THAT PORTION OF PARK VIEW
DRIVE LYING WEST OF A LINE PROJECTED SOUTH FROM THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF LOT 5, BLOCK 66, LYNWOOD WEST ADDITION, SECTION II;
RETAINING ALL EASEMENT RIGHTS AND RESERVING A PORTION OF THE STREET
FOR ALLEY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close that portion of Park
View Drive herein described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. All of that portion of Park View Drive lying west of a
line projected south from the southeast corner of Lot 5, Block 66, Lynwood West
Addition, Section II (the same being the projected west right-of-way line of
Adrian Avenue) , be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves a 20 foot
strip of land abutting the south property line of the said Lot 5, Block 66 of
Lynwood West Addition, Section II, said 20 foot strip to extend westward to
the west line of the north-south alley abutting the Nest property line of
said Lot 5, for an alley, and all rights which normally pertain to a dedicated
alley are hereby retained .
SECTION 3. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves an easement
in said land contained in the closed street for the purpose of laying and
maintaining all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas,
electric, telephone, and power lines , sanitary and storm sewers and drainage
ditches; no structures , including fences , shall be built on such easement.
