ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-30 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES (ORDINANCE NUMBER
2440) TO CHANGE CERTAIN SIDEWALK REQUIRE-
MENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 27-30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita
Falls (being also Section 5 of Ordinance 2440) is hereby amended
so that it shall hereafter read as follows :
"Section 27-30. Sidewalk Requirements in New Subdivisions.
(a) Sidewalks shall be required in all new subdivisions in
which new street dedications are proposed within the plat of the
subdivision. Street construction plans submitted by the developer
in accordance with the subdivision regulations of the City of
Wichita Falls shall indicate the desired location of the proposed
sidewalks, either adjacent to the curb or one foot on the street
side of the property line. Sidewalks constructed on residential
streets may be constructed one foot from the street side of the
property line or adjacent to the curb a minimum of four feet in
width. Sidewalks constructed on streets designated as collector,
arterial, or freeway, as designated by the latest major thorough-
fare plan or Wichita Falls Urban Transportation Plan, that are
constructed adjacent to the curb shall be a minimum of six feet
in width and sidewalks constructed on those streets one foot on
the street side of the property line shall be a minimum of four
feet in width."
