AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-91 OF THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN ZONES, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (W) of Section 29-91 of the Traffic Ordinance
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended so
that it shall read as follows:
"(W) Call Field Road
1. 35 mph From Kemp Boulevard west, to the
east property line of Fairway
Boulevard."
SECTION 2. The fact that many people live within the City of Wichita
Falls and that there is an urgent need for protection of its citizens and their
property upon the city's roads and streets, this ordinance is declared an
emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for the orderly flow of
traffic upon its roads and streets and a public need for the preservation of
the peace, health, and safety of property of the city. This ordinance shall
take effect immediately upon its passage.
