AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 102. 5 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 2733, THE PLUMBING CODE,
TO PROVIDE FOR A LICENSED JOURNEYMAN
PLUMBER ON THE PLUMBING ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, in adoption of Ordinance 2733 , the plumbing code,
it was intended that one member of the Plumbing Advisory Board
should be a licensed journeyman plumber, but this was omitted by
inadvertence.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section 102. 5 of Ordinance
No. 2733, the plumbing code, is hereby amended so that it shall
read as follows :
"There is hereby created a Board of Advisors for the City of
Wichita Falls which shall be known as the Plumbing Advisory Board.
The Plumbing Advisory Board shall consist of five members , who
shall be appointed by the Mayor, with consent of City Council and
shall serve for a term of two years each. One member of said board
shall be a licensed engineer, one member of said board shall be an
employee of Lone Star Gas Company, one member of said board shall
be a licensed master plumber, one member of said board shall be a
licensed journeyman plumber, and one member of said board shall be
• an individual who is in no way associated with any of the other
four members of the board. The secretary of said board shall be
the Plumbing Inspector for the City of Wichita Falls , Texas , but he
shall have no vote. All members of said board shall be residents
of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas and shall serve without pay. "
SECTION 2. All other paragraphs of said Section 102. 5 of
Ordinance No. 2733 shall remain unchanged.
