ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 1414. 2
AND SECTION 1603 OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS PLUMBING CODE, ORDINANCE NUMBER
2733 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Subsection 1414. 2 of Ordinance Number 2733 is
hereby amended so that it shall read as follows:
"1414. 2 Where required.
When fixtures other than water closet, floor drain or
condensate drain discharge downstream from a water closet, each
fixture connecting shall be individually vented. "
SECTION 2. Section 1603 of Ordinance Number 2733 is hereby
amended by adding Subsection 1603 . 6, which shall read as follows:
"1603. 6 Pipe pressure for gas system.
No piping system shall be designed for pressure in excess of
four ounces (seven inches of water columm) in residential or com-
mercial buildings. Pressure in excess of four ounces (seven inches
of water column) may be approved by the Plumbing Inspector and Gas
Company to serve industrial users requiring greater pressure, pro-
vided none of the piping is concealed in a confined space with no
ventilation. "
