Resolution approving the PY 2014 Action Plan of the Consolidated
Plan to allocate FY 2014 Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funds in the amount of $1,112,813 and FY 2014 HOME
Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds in the amount of
$291,390, and re-allocate $275,000 in FY 2012 CDBG funds and
$142,958 in FY 2012 HOME funds
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, acting in its capacity as a HUD Grantee,
administers federally-funded programs to benefit the community;
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing to receive citizen input;
WHEREAS, the City Council Subcommittee on Outside Agencies has met with
and considered requests from local non -profit organizations and City departments that
have applied f or funding; and
WHEREAS, during the Public Hearing, the full City Council has considered
citizen comments and has reviewed the proposed use of funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The City Council of Wichita Falls, T exas hereby approves and adopts the PY
2014 Annual Action Plan Funding Allocations that were recommended to the City
Council by the Council Subcommittee on Outside Agencies and that will provide for
developing, implementing, and administering eligible programs and activities through
the CDBG and HOME Programs.
2. The City of Wichita Falls, acting in its capacity as a HUD Grantee , is
authorized to apply for $1,112,813 in FY 2014 CDBG funding and $291,390 in FY 2014
HOME funding and to reallocate $275,000 in FY 2012 CDBG funding and $142,958 in
FY 2012 HOME funding. Such funding shall be utilized for eligible projects and
administrative costs. The City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute any and
all amendments, agreements, and other documents necessary to implem ent the
aforementioned Action Plan.
