ORDINANCE CHANGING DATES OF REGULAR
MEETINGS OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN IN
JANUARY, 1974 TO THE SECOND AND
FOURTH TUESDAYS.
WHEREAS, Section 2-1 of the Code of Ordinances provides
that the regular meeting times of the Board of Aldermen, except
the first meeting in April, shall be the first Tuesday and
third Tuesday of each month at 10 : 00 o'clock a.m. ; and,
WHEREAS, the first Tuesday in January, 1974 falls on January
1st, and it is the desire of the Board of Aldermen to change the
dates of the regular meetings in January.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 2-1 of the Code
of Ordinances to the contrary, the regular meeting times of the
Board of Aldermen during the month of January, 1974 , shall be
the second Tuesday and fourth Tuesday of such month, at 10: 00
a.m.
As the regularly scheduled date of the first meeting in
January is within thirty days, this ordinance is declared to
be an emergency measure, and shall become effective immediately.
