AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN
BLOCK 21 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN LYING BETWEEN THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF JEFFERSON STREET AND A POINT 100 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF MADISON STREET.
WHEREAS, The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
deems it advisable and in the public interest to permanently close
and abandon a portion of an alley hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.That portion of the alley in block 21 of the
Original Town lying between the north right-of-way line of
Jefferson Street and a point 100 feet south of the south right-of-
way line of Madison Street be and is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2 . The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserves
an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining
all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric,
telephone and power lines, sanitary and storm sewers and drainage
ditches.
SECTION 3. No building shall be built over said easement
ran
unless and until satisfactory arrangements have been made with the g
City of Wichita Falls with reference to maintenance and upkeep of
the sewer and water lines and with owners of other utility lines
located therein with reference to their f acilities .
