AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR THE ORDERING
AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF AVENUES,
STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, DESIGNATED AS THE 1974 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM,
APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS PREPARED BY CITY
ENGINEER, AND DIRECTING THE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS, AND
PROVIDING SUNDRY OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
is of the opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets
and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
I.
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following
portions of avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas be improved, to-wit:
ALMA STREET: From North property line
McGregor Avenue to south
property line of Huff Avenue.
ARTHUR STREET
AND AVENUE E: From south property line of
Tenth Street to west property
line of Garfield Street.
AVENUE F: From east property line of
Garfield Street to 170 feet
east of east property line of
Hayes Street.
AVENUE Y: From west property line of
Arthur Street to 322 feet west.
BAYLOR AVENUE: From north property line of
Seventh Street to south property
line of Sixth Street.
BLUFF STREET: From the north property line of
Midwestern Parkway to south property
line of Thirty-Sixth Street.

II.
The City Engineer has heretofore prepared plans and specifications
for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions of avenues, streets
and public places, and such plans and specifications are submitted to the Board
of Aldermen fora approval and adoption; such plans and specifications be and the

same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications for the
improvement of the said streets.
III.
The City Manager is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids
for the making and constructing of said improvements.
IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect immedi-
ately from and after its passage.

be improved and that a portion of the cost of such improvement is to be
specially assessed as a lien upon the property abutting thereon, and said
