AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS
ON STREETS AT LOCATIONS OUT OF A PORTION OF THE 1974 ASSESS-
MENT PAVING PROGRAM, AND CANCELLING THE ASSESSMENT LIENS
LEVIED AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTIES.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2869, dated May 21, 1974, the Board of Alder-
ment of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, a municipal corporation, determined
the necessity of paving and constructing other improvements on portions of
streets designated as the 1974 Assessment Paving Program in Wichita Falls, and
a notice of such action, in accordance with Article 1220A of Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas, was filed with the County Clerk and was recorded in Volume
669, Page 297 of the Deed of Trust Records of Wichita County; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2869, dated May 21, 1974; the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, adopted the plans and specifications and
authorized for the advertisement for bids ; and,
WHEREAS, on July 2, 1974, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas rejected the only bid received on the 1974 Assessment Paving Program
because of excessive costs plus a price escalation clause for asphalt after
January 1, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen has deemed it advisable to improve some
of the streets in said 1974 program, and to delete the balance of such streets
from such program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
The improvements on the following portions of streets shall be aband-
oned, and the assessment liens heretofore levied against properties abutting such
portions of streets are hereby cancelled, to-wit:
ARTHUR STREET From south property line of
AND AVENUE E: Tenth Street to west property
line of Garfield Street.
AVENUE F: From east property line of
Garfield Street to 170 feet
east of east property line of
Hayes Street.
BAYLOR AVENUE: From north property line of
Seventh Street to south property
line of Sixth Street.
BLUFF STREET: From the north property line of
Midwestern Parkway to south property
line of Thirty-Sixth Street.
BROAD STREET: From the north property line of Fourth
Street to the South property line of
Third Street.
BUCHANAN STREET: From North property line of Tenth
Street to the south property line
of Ninth Street.
BUCHANAN STREET: From north property line of Linden
Place to 300 feet south.
BURNETT STREET: From east right-of-way line of Central

the assessment liens against such properties abutting the portions of streets
set out above.

THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF WICHITA
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
a Municipal Corporation, has heretofore ordered an assessment against certain
property abutting the list of streets listed below; and,
WHEREAS, notices of said assessment were dated May 21, 1974, and
recorded in Volume 669, Page 297 of the Deed of Trust Records of Wichita
County, Texas, to which reference is here made for all purposes; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. `�%Q' , dated September 3, 1974, the
Board of Aldermen released such assessments against the properties abutting the
