ORDINANCE CHANGING THE DATES OF THE
SECOND REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD
OF ALDERMEN IN SEPTEMBER AND BOTH
REGULAR MEETINGS IN OCTOBER, 1974 ,
AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CON-
SIDER ADOPTION OF 1974-1975 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, Section 2-1 of the Code of Ordinances pro-
vides (with one exception) that the regular meeting times of
the Board of Aldermen shall be the first Tuesday and third
Tuesday of each month, at 10:00 o' clock A.M. , in the Council
Chamber in the Municipal Auditorium; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen desire to change the date
of the second regular meeting in September, 1974 from September
17th to September 24th, and to change the regular meetings in
October, 1974 from the first and third Tuesdays to October 8th
and October 22nd, respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section
2-1 of the Code of Ordinances, the second regular meeting of
the Board of Aldermen in the month of September, 1974 shall be
held on September 24th at 10 : 00 o'clock A.M. , the first regular
meeting in the month of October, 1974 shall be held on October
8th, and the second regular meeting in October, 1974 shall be
on October 22nd, both at 10 : 00 o'clock A.M.
SECTION 2. A public hearing is hereby called for
Tuesday, October 8th, 1974 at 10: 00 o'clock A.M. in the Council
Chamber in the Municipal Auditorium Building to consider the
adoption of the budget and the appropriations ordinance for the
City of Wichita Falls for the fiscal year beginning October 1st,
1974 .
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to give notice of
the hour, date and place of such public hearing by placing a
notice in at least one newspaper of general circulation in the
City not more than thirty (30) days nor less than ten (10) days
before said public hearing.

SECTION 4. The fact that the budget for the fiscal
year beginning October 1st, 1974 needs to be adopted on the
date set forth for such first meeting in October, creates an
emergency, and this ordinance is declared an emergency measure
and shall become effective upon its passage.
