ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF CHAP-
TER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO
PROVIDE A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO REMOVE
WEEDS, BRUSH, RUBBISH OR OTHER OBJEC-
TIONABLE, UNSIGHTLY OR UNSANITARY MATTER
BY THE PERSON OWNING OR HAVING POSSESSION
OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Article IV of Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 18-51, which
shall read as follows:
"Sec. 18-51. Penalty for violation of article..
In addition to the other remedies contained in
this article, in the event the owner or person having posses-
sion or control of such property shall fail or refuse to abate
such nuisance within the time required in Section 18-18 , such
person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding $200. 00 , and each
day such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. "
