ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4 1/2 - 4 AND
SECTION 4 1/2 - 55, AND REPEALING PARA-
GRAPH 3 OF SECTION 4 1/2 - 7 AND SECTION
4 1/2 - 10 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
WHICH SECTIONS REGULATE AMBULANCE EQUIP-
MENT AND OPERATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Subparagraph (k) of Paragraph (2) of Section
4 1/2 - 4 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read
as follows:
" (k) Tires shall have a six-ply or equivalent rating as
a minimum, or in the alternative, tires shall be steel belted
radial tires; "
SECTION 2. Paragraph (5) of Section 4 1/2 - 4 is here-
by amended as follows:
A. Delete the word "resuscitation" in the require-
ment of "two oxygen E tanks or of greater capacity of which one
tank must be full at all times and approved oxygen unit incor-
porating aspiration, resuscitation, and inhalation features,
consisting of a range of sizes of face masks" .
B. Delete the words "web strap for" in the require-
ment of "hinged half-ring splints (for fractures of the thigh)
with web strap for ankle hitch" .
C. Delete the requirement of "two each surgi-lift
sheets" .
SECTION 3. Paragraph (3) of Section 4 1/2 - 7 of the
Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Section 4 1/2 - 10 of the Code of Ordinances
is hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. Section 4 1/2 - 55 of the Code of Ordinances
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"It shall be the duty and responsibility of every chauf-
feur and attendant registered hereunder to carry his registration
card with him while on duty, and to exhibit it when requested to
do so. "
