RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THIRD YEAR FEDERAL GRANT
APPLICATION FOR POLICE STATISTICAL ANALYST.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen has heretofore approved
a project for establishing and developing a Police Department
statistical analysis office, which has received federal grants
through the Texas Criminal Justice Division for the first two
years of the project; and,
WHEREAS, this project was funded on a matching basis for
five years on a sliding scale from 100 per cent the first year
to 20 per cent the fifth year; and,
WHEREAS, the total project cost for the third year is
23 , 004, and the matching ratio is $13 ,251 Criminal Justice
Division funds and $9,753 City funds; the third year will em-
phasize research into a computer aided dispatch system for the
department and the development of a crime information center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The continuation of the Police Department statistical
analysis office is approved, and the City Manager is authorized
to make application for a federal grant for the third year of
this project through the Texas Criminal Justice Division, and
he is authorized to execute for the City the grant agreement.
