RESOLUTION NO..2 JZ
RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THE U. S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO CONTRACT FOR
AND SUPERVISE THE REMOVAL OF DEBRIS FROM THE DISASTER AREA OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls has been struck by a tornado on April
10, 1979, and
WHEREAS, a state of disaster emergency was declared by an ordinance passed
at an emergency council meeting on April 11, 1979, and
WHEREAS, parties private and public are in need of assistance in the
removal of debris,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Board of Aldermen do hereby request the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers
contract for and supervise the removal of debris from agencies public and
private and from the property of individuals, if said agencies and individuals
meet the requirements set forth by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS the 13th day of April , 1979.
