RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION
FOR $100,000 FROM THE TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION FOR
RENOVATION OF THE ROUTE BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the restoration of the Route Building is an approved
activity in the 1978 Community Development program; and,
WHEREAS, Community Development funds may be used for the City's
share of a matching grant; and,
WHEREAS, $100,000 is available in Community Development funds
for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, the matching $100,000 may be available from the Texas
Historical Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the deadline for submitting an application for funding
from the Texas Historical Commission is September 1, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The submittal of an application to the Texas Historical Commission
fof $100,000 is ratified and the City Manager is authorized to accept the
grant if the application is approved.
