RESOLUTION DECLINING TO REPEAL RESOLUTION #2123, WHICH
AWARDED A CONTRACT TO C AND R CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR
DEMOLITION AND SITE PREPARATION, PHASE 1 OF THE FARMERS
MARKET, AND SUBMITTING THE QUESTION TO THE ELECTORS AT
THE NEXT MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON AUGUST 12, 1978.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has certified that a sufficient amended
referendum petition has been filed, seeking the repeal of Resolution #2123,
which awarded a contract to C and R Construction Company for demolition and
site preparation, Phase 1 of the Farmers Market; and,
WHEREAS, Section 51 of the Charter requires that the Board of Aldermen
shall reconsider the resolution and vote upon the question as to whether
the resolution shall be repealed; if it not be repealed, it shall be sub-
mitted to the electors at the next municipal election held not less than 30
days thereafter.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Resolution #2123 shall not be repealed.
SECTION 2. The question as to whether or not Resolution #2123 shall
be repealed shall be submitted to the electors of the City of Wichita Falls
at the next municipal election being held on August 12, 1978.
