RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A REQUEST FOR FEDERAL AID FOR PHASE IV AIRPORT
IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a need to make certain Phase IV
improvements at Municipal Airport which includes the construction of a new
taxiv ay connection and reconstruction of the old taxiway connection to the
commercial-.general.aviation ramps,the construction of a. new baggage claims
area in the terminal building, the reconstruction of internal access roads at
the airport and the expansion of the commercial-general aviation ramp; and,
WHEREAS, the approximate cost for such improvements is $733,000, of
which it is expected that the Federal Aviation Administration will furnish
eighty-five percent (85%), being approximately $624,500 and the city will furnish
fifteen percent (15%), being approximately S108,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Gerald G. Fox, City Manager is authorized and directed to complete and
file a request for aid for such grant with the Federal Aviation Administration;
the City Manager is further authorized to sign any necessary documents, in-
cluding the grant agreement required to carry out and complete such grant on
behalf of the city.
