AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEY ADJACENT TO BLOCK 2 OF
THE DEATON - WAGGONER SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to permanently close the alley hereinafter
described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The east-west alley adjacent to Block 2 of the Deaton - Waggoner
Subdivision of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of Lot 1 of the said Block 2 of the
Deaton - Waggoner Subdivision, said point being in the west right-of-way
line of Garfield Street;
THENCE west along the north property lines of Lots 1 through 7 of said
Block 2 a distance of 388.7 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 7;
THENCE north 10 feet;
THENCE east 147.6 feet;
THENCE north 10 feet;
THENCE east 241.1 feet to the west right-of-way line of Garfield Street;
THENCE south 20 feet along said west right-of-way line of Garfield Street
to the place of beginning.
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. An easement for all public utility lines and appurtenances of
every kind is hereby reserved in the land described above. No structures, fences, or
other obstructions shall be placed on, over, or above the closed portion.
