AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPHS (c) and (d) OF SECTION
29-114 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING NO PARKING ZONES ON CERTAIN
STREETS AND HIGHWAYS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (c) of Section 29-114 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended by adding to the schedule in such section,the
following:
Street From To Side
"Kemp Boulevard Ninth Street Intersection of Seymour Highway
(5th Street) Both"
SECTION 2. Paragraph (c) of Section 29-114 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended by deleting from the schedule in such section
the following:
Street From To Side
"Old Seymour Road Santa Fe Street Wenonah
Pierce Street 10th Street Seymour Highway "
SECTION 3. Paragraph (d) of Section 29-114 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended by deleting from the schedule in such section,
the following:
Street Extent Side Hours parking prohibited
"Kemp Boulevard 10th to Kell East 7:00 am to 9:00 am -
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Kemp Boulevard 10th to Kell West 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm -
7:00 am to 9:00 am"
SECTION 4. The fact that many people live within the City of Wichita Falls and
that there is an urgent need for protection of its citizens and their property upon the
City's roads and streets, this ordinance is declared an emergency measure on the ground
of urgent public need for the orderly flow of traffic upon its roads and streets and a
public need for the preservation of the peace, health, and safety of property of the citizens
of the City. Therefore, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
