A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH ROBERT PARDUE AND ASSOCIATES - ARCHITECTS, FOR
DESIGN OF THE ADDITION TO THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, 1008
BURNETT
WHEREAS, the need has been established for an expansion of the Senior
Citizens Center, 1008 Burnett; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen approved the expenditure of $27,000
from the 1979-1980 Community Development Block Grant for the design and the
construction of the extension to the Senior Citizens Center; and,
WHEREAS, Robert Pardue and Associates - Architects has been selected
for this project because of the quality of their work and that they designed the
plans for cther construction to this Senior Citizens Center; and,
WHEREAS, the architect will be compensated for his services at the
rate of 7% of the construction cost, total cost of architect fee and construction
not to exceed $27,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Gerald G. Fox, City Manager, is authorized to enter into contract
with Robert: Pardue and Associates -Architects for the design of the expansion
to the Senior Citizens Center, 1008 Burnett.
