A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO DENVER HAWKINS,
SAM MITCHELL, TYLER GENERAL CONTRACTORS FOR THE
DEMOLITION, CLEARING AND CLEANING OF LOTS IN BLOCK
240, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE AND SOUTH 30' LOT 3 of BLOCK
182, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised for bids to be
opened at 2:00 o'clock p.m. on September 10, 1979 for the demolition,
clearing and cleaning of lots in Block 240, Original Townsite, and south
30' Lot 3, Block 182, Original Townsite; and,
WHEREAS, on September 10, 1979 at 2:00 o'clock p.m. two bids
were received and opened; and,
WHEREAS, the bid of Denver Hawkins, Sam Mitchell, Tyler General
Contractors, in the amount of $25,990.30 was the lowest bid; and,
WHEREAS, Denver Hawkins, Sam Mitchell, Tyler General Contractors,
are responsible bidders; and,
WHEREAS, the low bid is within the funds budgeted for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said bid of Denver Hawkins, Sam Mitchell, Tyler General Contractors,
in the amount of $25,990.30 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is here-
by authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls a contract
with Denver Hawkins, Sam Mitchell, Tyler General Contractors for the demoli-
tion, clearing and cleaning of lots in Block 240, Original Townsite and
south 30' of Lot 3, Block 182, Original Townsite.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 18th day of September, 1979.
