RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #2 AND FINAL
PAYMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATER DISTRIBUTION
MAINS ON AVENUE F AND AVENUE G.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Opex, Inc. as contractor,
entered into a contract dated October 17, 1979, for the construction
of water distribution mains on Avenues F and G in the City of Wichita
Falls; and,
WHEREAS, on June 10, 1980, the Board of Aldermen approved Change
Order #1 in the amount of $9,870.00 for certain connections which were
not proposed on original plans; and,
WHEREAS, the work is completed and Change Order #2 in the amount
of $7,492.50 is the final adjustment of unit quantities which will
increase the contract price to a final value of $293,868.50.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 2 to the contract dated October 17, 1979, with
Opex, Inc. , and final payment of $38,990.08 is hereby approved, the
City Manager is authorized to execute the same for the City of Wichita
Falls, and pay the balance due the contractor as shown above.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 12TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1980.
