A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSITION PLAN FOR THE WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS TRANSIT SYSTEM TO COMPLY WITH SECTION 504 OF
THE REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973, AS AMENDED, TO PROVIDE ACCES-
SIBLE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO THE ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED
WHEREAS, in the Wichita Falls area federal assistance may be requested
for (1) capital and operating funds for public transportation, (2) airport
improvements, and (3) transportation planning; and,
WHEREAS, the Transition Plan requires endorsement by the Metropolitan
Planning Organization; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has been designated on June
22, 1977 as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Wichita Falls urbanized
area through August 31, 1981; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has accepted the designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The following document is hereby endorsed as being valid and consistent
with Section 504 of Department of Transportation Regulations and is hereby
adopted.
