RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF THE
WICHITA COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, an election will be held in Wichita County
on August 16 , 1980, at which the electors will vote for or
against the creation of the Wichita County Hospital District,
and providing for the levy of annual taxes not to exceed
20 on the $100 valuation on all taxable property in the
district subject to Hospital District taxation (excluding
the territory within the boundaries of the Electra Hospital
District) ; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen is of the opinion that
the creation of such Hospital District is in the best
interest of the citizens of Wichita Falls and Wichita County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Board of Aldermen hereby goes on record as supporting
the creation of the Wichita County Hospital District; all
qualified voters are urged to participate by voting in such
election, and it is strongly recommended that they vote in
favor of the creation of such district.
