A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE BUDGET WITH THE COMMUNITY
ACTION CORPORATION OF WICHITA FALLS AND NORTH TEXAS
AREA FOR ADMINISTRATION OF THE SECTION 8 HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen approved Resolution No. 2700 awarding
the contract for the administration of the Section 8 program to the Community
Action Corporation on December 16, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen approved Resolution No. 2773 authorizing
the City Manager to file an application for fifty (50) additional units of
Section 8 housing with the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved
forty-two (42) units of said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Stuart A. Bach, City Manager, is authorized to execute an amendment
to the current budget with the Community Action Corporation of Wichita Falls
and North Texas Area to provide additional funds for the administration of the
Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program for Existing Housing for the
balance of the fiscal year; a copy of said budget is attached.
