RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES
WITH ADLS PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
That certain contract, a copy of which is attached hereto, between
the City of Wichita Falls and ADLS Professional Services, Inc. , 3716 Shady
Hollow Lane, Dallas, Texas 75233, for consulting services required to
develop a valid selection process for entry level firefighters for the
City is hereby approved, and the City Manager is authorized to execute
the same for the City of Wichita Falls.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 2nd day of June, 1981.

CONTRACT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN
A D L S PROFESSIONAL _SERVICES INC. AND
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS 1
A D L S Professional Services, Inc. (herein after I-
referred to as the Company) in cooperation with staff
personnel supplied by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas y
herein after referred to as the City) does hereby agree I
to provide personnel research and development services s
to the City as stipulated. The goal of the project is 1`
to provide the City with a professionally defensible
program for selection of entry level fire fighters. The I
work elements to be accomplished are as follows:
1. Review of relevant literature
2. Job analysis .
3. Test development as indicated in the literature
and job analysisby 'ob anal sis data, which may include but I_
is not limited to : a. written test, b. strength and
I:
agility test, and c. Assessment Center.
4. Review and revision, as necessary, of the back-
ground procedures.
5. Tryout of tests and statistical analyses of test
results including: a. reliability estimates, b. determine
item difficulty and item discrimination index, c. estab-

lish norms, pass points and time limits for each test.
6. Prepare plan for subsequent test validation.
7. Prepare final report addressed to the require-
ments of and compliance with the Uniform Guidelines on L
Employee Selection Procedures.
The estimate of costs were itemized in our letter of
March 23, 1931. In summary, the Company will, with support

I7n consideration of the agreements en the Part of

i and further agrees to pay ADLO within 50 days after sub-
mission of the monthly statements referred to above, amounts

This contract shall be in full force and effect from
June 2, 1931, until and upon completion of all work elements
