RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
CITY MANAGER TO TERMINATE CONTRACT
WITH NORTEX REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION
FOR MANPOWER SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls no longer desires to contract with the
North Texas Regional Planning Commission to operate, plan, and deliver manpower
programs and services for Wichita County; and,
WHEREAS, the existing contract between the City of Wichita Falls and the
North Texas Regional Planning Commission permits either party to withdraw from
the contract within sixty days written notice to the other party; and,
WHEREAS, the North Texas Regional Planning Commission is agreeable to termi-
nating this contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Board of Aldermen hereby approve termination of the contract with the
Nortex Regional Planning Commission (as currently authorized by Resolution
No. 1832 passed and approved July 6, 1976) and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to terminate this contract. This contract should be terminated at a
time and date not more than 60 days hence agreeable to both the North Texas
Regional Planning Commission and the City of Wichita Falls.
