ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS OF FOUR (4) UNITS
OF THE 1975 ASSESSMENT PAVING PROGRAM IN THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS DESIGNATED IN ORDINANCE
NO. 2970; DECLARING THE CONTRACT WITH STUCKEY CON-
STRUCTION COMPANY, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, -FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS FULLY COMPLETED
AND PERFORMED; DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE, EXECUTION
AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF SPECIAL -
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AFTER GIVING EFFECT TO SUNDRY
CREDITS HEREIN AUTHORIZED AND ALLOWED AGAINST SOME
OF SAID ASSESSMENTS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE BY COPYING THE
CAPTION OF SAME IN THE MINUTE BOOK OF THE BOARD OF
ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS AND
BY FILING THE COMPLETE ORDINANCE IN APPROPRIATE
ORDINANCE RECORDS OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has heretofore entered
into contract with Stuckey Construction Company, Wichita Falls, Texas for the
making and constructing of certain street improvements on the hereinafter de-
scribed portions of streets, avenues and public places in the City to-wit:
AVENUE F: From the east property
line of Garfield Street
to 150 feet east of the
east property line of
Hayes Street.
ARTHUR STREET From the south property
AND AVENUE E: line of 10th Street to
the west property line of
of Garfield Street.
ARIZONA From the west property
AVENUE: line of Arthur Street to
the west property line
of Kemp Blvd. •
CONCORD ROAD: From the north property
line of Pasadena Avenue
to the south property line
of Coronado Avenue.
WHEREAS , by sundry proceedings heretofore passed by the Board
of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls , Texas , including Ordinance No.
2.985. a portion of the cost of said improvements was levied and assessed
• against the respective properties abutting on each of the above assessed
portions of streets , avenues and public places and against the real and
'true owners thereof; and, •
•
WHEREAS , the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas ,
has upon review, found and determined that , in some instances in order to
• .effect substantial justice and equality, 'it is desireable and necessary to
grant and issue certain credits against some one or more of the assessments
levied by Ordinance No. 2985_ and,
•
WHEREAS , the street improvements hereinabove mentioned have been
completed upon each of the portions of streets , avenues and public places
hereinabove described , and have been inspected and found to be in complete
accordance with the contract therefor:
NOW, THEREFORE ,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:

I.
The improvements on each of the portions of streets , avenues and
public places hereinabove described be , and they are hereby accepted ; and
the contract with reference thereto be , and is hereby found and declared
fully completed and performed.
II.
The assessments as levied by Ordinance No. 2985 shall be computed
for each property owner and the same together with the Engineer' s Rolls of
.four: (4). of the seventeen (17) locations herein accepted shall be deliver-
ed to the Tax-Assessor-Collector, and he shall prepare statements which shall
be sent to the property owners .

III.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to engross and enroll this Ordi-
nance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Bonk of the Board of Alder-
men of the City of Wichita Falls , Texas , and by filing the completed ordinance
in the appropriate Ordinance Records of said City.
IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
• from and after the date of its passage.
