ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RATES AND CHARGES
FOR LOCAL EXCHANGE TELEPHONE SERVICE
FURNISHED BY SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE
COMPANY IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
AND REPEALING CERTAIN PRIOR ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Southwestern Bell Telephone Company shall place in effect
the following schedule of rates for local exchange telephone service on January 3,
1976.

(a) The rate for One-Party Business Multiline is 110% of the rate for
One Party Business Flat Rate.
(b) Includes 100 out-going local messages, other $.07 each.
(c) The rate for a flat rate PBX trunk is one and three-fourths
times the rate of one-party business flat rate service.
(d) Minimum local message revenue guarantee equal to one-party
business flat rate service.
(e) The rate for flat rate Semi-Public Coin Telephone service is
50% of the rate of one-party business flat rate service.
Rates and charges for miscellaneous service and equipment as filed on
November 3, 1975 are approved effective January 3, 1976; provided,
however, that Southwestern Bell Telephone Company shall have the right
to file from time to time with the City Clerk different rates and charges
for such miscellaneous service and equipment, such different rates and
charges to become effective thirty days after filing unless otherwise
ordered by the Board of Aldermen.

SECTION 2. All ordinances heretofore passed by the City of Wichita
Falls establishing rates and charges for telephone service (except Ordinance No.
1899, dated March 28, 1960, establishing a base rate area) are hereby repealed
effective with the establishment of the rates authorized in Section above.
SECTION 3. Nothing contained in this ordinance shall be construed now
or hereafter as limiting or modifying, in any manner, the right and power of the
City under the law to regulate the rates and charges of Southwestern Bell Telephone
Company.
