AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF 27TH STREET
IN THE HOLLIDAY GARDENS ADDITION OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS;
RETAINING CERTAIN EASEMENT RIGHTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close a portion of 27th Street in the
Holliday Gardens Addition herein described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:

Section 1 . That part of 27th Street which is described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 2A, of a replat of Block One
of the Holliday Gardens Addition to the City of Wichita Falls as recorded
in the Wichita County plats records, said point being in the North right-
of-way of 27th Street;
Thence west 370 feet along the north right-of-way line of 27th Street
to the east ROW line of Lamar Street;
Thence south 50 feet to the south ROW line of..27th Street;
Thence east 370 feet;
Thence north 50 feet to the place of beginning
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
Section 2. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas hereby reserves a 45 foot
strip on said land adjacent to the north property line of the said 27th Street for
the purpose of laying, maintaining, removing and replacing all kind and character
of utility lines including water, sewer, gas, electric, telephone and power lines;
no structures shall be built on said easement.
Section 3. That the presence of the street as described above is delaying
the development of property on both sides of the street requires that this ordinance
be passed as an emergency measure, this ordinance is passed as an emergency measure
and shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage.
