Ord 3049 1/20/1976 ORDINANCE NO. ,fie AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-91. 1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING PRIMA FACIE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS AT CERTAIN TIMES IN CERTAIN ZONES, AND DE: CLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The schedule set out in Section 29-91. 1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended to add sub-paragraphs (Y) through (AH) to read as follo� s: "(Y' Jo Ann Drive (1) 20 MPH From a point 150 feet south of Katherine to a point 15`.' feet north of Katherine. (Z) Katherine Street (1) 20 MPH From Jo Ann Drive to Hooper. (AB) Lucas Street (1) 20 MPH From a point 150 feet south of Best Street to Kimberly Street. (AC) H:ines Street (1) 20 MPH From a point 150 feet north of Lucas Street to a point 150 feet south of Lucas Street. (AD) Borton Street (1) 20 MPH From North Beverly Drive to a point 150 feet east of Ridgeway. (AE) Lansing (1) 20 MPH From Kingsbury to Berwicl:. (AF) York (1) 20 MPH From Belgrave Court to Pennsylvania Street. (AG) Phillips Drive (1) 20 MPH From a point 150 feet west of Hughes to McNiel Street. The fact the the prima facie speed limits set out in this ordinance are nec- essary to the safe and orderly movement of traffic upon the streets of the City of Wichita Falls, this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure on the ground that there is an urgent public • need for the orderly flow of traffic upon the streets, and a public need for the preservation of the peace, health, and safety of the lives and property of the citizens of the city. This ordinance shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon its passage.
