ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-21 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, INCREASING THE NUMBER OF POLICE
OFFICERS BY EIGHT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
Section 24-21 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended so that it shall read as follows:
"Section 24-21. Classification Under Civil Service.
The following positions in the Police Department are
classified under Civil Service in compliance with Section 8
of Article 1269m of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, as
amended, and they are hereby set out as follows:
Classification - Title Number of Positions
Police Officer 99
Police Sergeant 20
Police Lieutenant 6
Police Captain 2
No other person employed by the City may be classified
as holding a position under Civil Service with the Police
Department. "
