ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-127 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, INCREASING THE NUMBER
OF FIREFIGHTERS, DELETING FIRE TRAINING
OFFICER AND ADDING ONE FIRE BATTALION CHIEF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 15-127 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended so that it shall read as follows :
"Section 15-127. Civil Service Positions Designated.
The following positions in the Fire Department are
classified under Civil Service in compliance with Section 8
of Article 1269m of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas , as
amended, and they are hereby set out as follows:
Classification - Title Number of Positions
Communications Operator 1
Firefighter 57
Fire Equipment Operator 48
Fire Lieutenant 18
Fire Captain 9
Fire Battalion Chief 4
No other person employed by the City may be classified
as holding a position under Civil Service with the Fire Depart-
ment. "
