Ord 3060 2/17/1976 ORDINANCE NO. 2d6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 29-91 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS ESTABLISHING PRIMA FACIE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The schedule set out. in Section 29-91 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls is amended to add sub-paragraphs (AO) through (AQ) to read as follows: "(AQ) Loop 11: Northbound Traffic: (1) 40 MPH From Seymour Highway (U.S. 82-277) to Glenn Drive. (2) 50 MPH From Glenn Drive to Skyline Country Club entrance drive. (3) 40 MPH From Skyline Country Club entrance drive to South Frontage Road of Northwest Freeway (U. S. 287). Southbound Traffic: (1) 40 MPH From South Frontage Road of Northwest Freeway (U. S. 287) to Skyline Country Club entrance drive. (2) 50 MPH From Skyline Country Club entrance drive to Glenn Drive. (3) 45 MPH From Glenn Drive to Seymour Highway (U.S. 82-277). (AP) Barnett Road: (1) 35 MPH From Athletic Drive to Southwest Parkway (F.M. 369). (2) 40 MPH From Southwest Parkway (F.M. 369) to the Fort Worth and Denver railroad tracks. (3) 45 MPH From Fort Worth and Denver railroad tracks to Seymour Highway (U. S. 82-277). (AQ) Johnson Road: (1) 40 MPH From Barnett Road to Fairway Boulevard." SECTION 2. The fact that the prima facie speed limits set out in this ordinance are necessary to the safe and orderly movement of traffic upon the streets of the City of Wichita Falls, this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure on the ground that there is an urgent public need for the orderly flow of traffic upon the streets, and a publ:ic need for the preservation of the peace, health and safety of the lives and property of the citizens of P P Y p P Y the city.
