AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH (H) OF SECTION 29-91
AND'ADDING PARAGRAPH (AO) TO SECTION 29-91 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISH-
ING PRIMA FACIE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREET WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (H) of Section 29-91 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Wichita Falls is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(H) East Scott Street (U. S. 287-Business)
(1) 40 MPH From South Rosewood Street to Peach
Street. .
(2) 45 MPH From Peach Street to east city Limits."
SECTION 2. Section 29-91 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita. Falls is
hereby amended by adding paragraph (AO) which shall read as follows:
"(AO) Maplewood Avenue
(1) 35 MPH From Southwest Parkway (F. M. 369)
to Kemp Boulevard. "
SECTION 3. The fact that the prima. facie speed limits set out in this ordinance are

necessary to the safe and orderly movement of traffic upon the streets of the City of Wichita
Falls, this ordinance is decla.red to be an emergency measure on the ground that there is an
urgent public need for the orderly flow of traffic upon the streets, and a public need for the
preservation of the pea.ce, health, and safety of the lives and property of the citizens of the
City. This ordinance shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon its passage.
