ORDINANCE NO. C70
ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2932, TO
CHANGE THE TERM "MEALS ON WHEELS" TO "SOCIAL
SERVICES DELIVERY" .
WHEREAS, on January 21st, 1975, in Ordinance No.
2932, the Board of Aldermen appropriated $18, 000. 00
from the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund to Project No. 932
for the support of social services under the term
"Meals on Wheels" ; and,
WHEREAS , on January 20th, 1976, the Board of
Aldermen authorized a contract with the Community
Action Corporation for social services delivery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
In order to avoid possible confusion resulting
from the use of different terms to describe the same
subject matter, Item No. 4 in Section 1 of Ordinance
No. 2932 is hereby amended to substitute the term
"Social Services Delivery" in the place of "Meals on
Wheels Program" .
